Projected ownership is treated as ground truth: never renormalized, never smoothed. The generator fills up to 100,000 valid DraftKings rosters and calibrates until every player's exposure lands within a hard tolerance band of their projection. Scarce positions fill first, so the salary squeeze falls where real fields feel it.
Every player gets a right-skewed distribution fitted to their mean, volatility, ceiling and boom/bust odds. A Gaussian copula ties teammates, stacks and game environments together, then the engine scores the full field up to 100,000 times, pays out a top-heavy GPP curve (with duplication splitting prizes) and reports each lineup's ROI.
Contest simulation is only as honest as its scale. Other DFS sim tools cap the field and the sim count, and charge more for it. At full scale, SimSlate scores 10 billion lineup outcomes in a single run.
